Gorey harbour & Mont Orgueil

About this photograph

Dan Marsh’s photograph brings together a small fishing boat, Gorey harbour and Mont Orgueil Castle. Taken in October 2008, it shows an older view of the waterfront. The original is 1,200 pixels wide: suitable for many content sections, but a modest size for a full-screen banner on a large display.

Ideas for using this image

An east-coast location page, a harbour-themed article or a supporting image for a business serving Gorey. Describe your actual service area in the surrounding text rather than relying on the picture alone.

Choosing a crop

A landscape content block preserves the relationship between the boat and castle. Avoid enlarging the image beyond its native resolution.

For a business website, give the photograph a short, accurate description in its alt text and keep the file size sensible. Our website preparation guide explains what other pictures and details to gather.
