Plenty of Jersey businesses do not need a menu of pages. A sole trader with one service, a new business finding its feet or a mobile tradesperson needs one thing from a website: that someone who finds you can tell straight away what you do and how to reach you.
A one-page website puts all of that on a single, well-ordered page that works on a phone. It is the simplest kind of site we build, so it sits at the lower end of our prices, with builds starting from £100 and hosting from £20 a month. When the business grows, the page can become the homepage of a larger site.
Ideal for: Sole traders, one-service businesses, new start-ups, mobile trades and anyone who needs to be findable and contactable quickly.
What this kind of site does for you
Quick to take in
Customers scroll one page instead of hunting through menus, and the ways to contact you are never more than a thumb away.
Built for phones
Most people will find you on a phone. A single page with tap-to-call and WhatsApp suits that better than a deep menu.
Easy to grow
Start with one page and add service pages, a gallery or an online shop later, without starting again.
Getting started is straightforward

Common questions
Is a one-page website enough for a business?
For many small businesses, yes. If you offer one main service in a clear area, one page can answer everything a customer needs to know. If you offer several distinct services, separate pages usually work better, for customers and for Google.
How much does a one-page website cost?
Our builds start from £100, and a one-page site is the simplest kind we build, so it sits at the lower end. We confirm the price before you commit. Hosting is from £20 a month.
Can a one-page website rank on Google?
It can rank for your business name and your main service, especially with a Google Business Profile alongside it. Competitive searches for several different services are harder with one page, which is when adding service pages helps.
Can I add more pages later?
Yes. The page becomes your homepage, and we add service pages, a gallery or an online shop around it when you need them.
What is the difference between a one-page website and a landing page?
A one-page website is your business’s main site. A landing page is a single page built for one campaign or advert, usually alongside a main site. We build both; see our landing page design service.
Do I need a logo first?
No. A clear business name in a good typeface works well on a first site. If you want a more polished look later, a brand refresh is available as an extra.
What clients say
Working with Jersey Web was easy from start to finish. I needed a website that explained clearly what I do and reflected the care I bring to sensitive work, and they understood that straight away. Having everything on one page means a client can see my services, my specialisms and my background in one place, and it looks just as good on a phone. They host and look after the site for me, and whenever I need a change, it is done without any fuss. I would recommend them to anyone.
Jersey Web made getting our fencing business online straightforward. They took the time to understand what we do and who we do it for, and turned it into a clean, simple website that shows off our work and makes it easy for customers to ring us for a quote. Everything is on one page, it looks great on a phone, and they were quick and easy to deal with from start to finish. I would happily recommend them to any local trade business.
Jersey Web gave Little Timbers a website that feels just like our stall: friendly, local and easy to find your way around. Customers can see all our produce, check which market we are at that week and get in touch, and our holiday let has its own section with photos and a link to book. They understood straight away what we wanted, and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I would recommend them to any small local business.
What goes on a good one-page website, in order
The order matters more than the design. Someone who lands on your page should find the answer to each question just as they think of it.
1. What you do and where. One plain line at the top: "Mobile dog grooming across St Helier and St Saviour" beats a clever slogan. Put a call or WhatsApp button right beside it.
2. What you offer. A short list of services, with prices if you are happy to publish them. Prices answer the question most people are too busy to ask.
3. Why trust you. Photos of your own work, a few words about you, and customer reviews once you have them. Real beats polished.
4. How to reach you. Phone, WhatsApp, a short contact form, your area and your hours. Finish the page with the same button you started with. If you are gathering the details now, our checklist of what to prepare covers everything.
