A new business needs to be found before it can be busy. Customers check online first, and a business with no website, or a rushed one, loses work to whoever looks more established. A first website does not have to cost what an established company would spend.
We build a focused first site around what a new business needs to launch: who you are, what you offer, where you work and how to reach you. Builds start from £100, depending on the job, and hosting is from £20 a month. You can add pages and extras later, once the business is bringing in work.
Ideal for: Start-ups, sole traders, new side businesses and anyone launching a business in Jersey for the first time.

Common questions
How much does a first business website cost in Jersey?
Builds start from £100, and the final price depends on the job. A simple site with a few pages costs less than one with an online shop or bookings. When you compare quotes, add up the build, the hosting and the cost of changes over three years. Hosting with us is from £20 a month, and we tell you the build price before you commit.
Is a cheap website good enough for a new business?
Yes, if it covers what customers look for: who you are, what you do, where you work and how to contact you. A small site that does that well beats a large one that is half finished. Cheap should mean a smaller scope, not a worse build.
What should my first business website include?
A clear homepage, a page for each main service, your service area, contact details and a quick way to get in touch such as WhatsApp or a contact form. Reviews, a gallery and blog posts can wait until you have something to show.
Can I start small and add to it later?
Yes. Most first sites start with a handful of pages. You can add pages, an online shop or local SEO later as the business grows.
Do I need a domain name and email address first?
A domain name and a professional email address both help a new business look established. If you have not chosen them yet, we can help with both through our email and domain setup service.
How long does it take to get online?
Most small business sites are ready in two to three weeks once we have your details and content. We confirm a timeline when we accept your application.
Will a new website show up on Google straight away?
Not straight away. A new site has to be found and trusted by Google, which takes time, and competitive searches take longer. We build the site with a clean, search-friendly structure, and you can add local SEO once the basics are live.
What clients say
Working with Jersey Web was easy from start to finish. I needed a website that explained clearly what I do and reflected the care I bring to sensitive work, and they understood that straight away. Having everything on one page means a client can see my services, my specialisms and my background in one place, and it looks just as good on a phone. They host and look after the site for me, and whenever I need a change, it is done without any fuss. I would recommend them to anyone.
Jersey Web made getting our fencing business online straightforward. They took the time to understand what we do and who we do it for, and turned it into a clean, simple website that shows off our work and makes it easy for customers to ring us for a quote. Everything is on one page, it looks great on a phone, and they were quick and easy to deal with from start to finish. I would happily recommend them to any local trade business.
Jersey Web gave Little Timbers a website that feels just like our stall: friendly, local and easy to find your way around. Customers can see all our produce, check which market we are at that week and get in touch, and our holiday let has its own section with photos and a link to book. They understood straight away what we wanted, and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I would recommend them to any small local business.
What a first business website actually needs
Most first websites fail by trying to do too much. A new business needs to answer four questions quickly: what do you do, where do you work, why should I trust you, and how do I contact you. Everything else is optional at launch.
Start with a homepage, one page for each main service and a contact page. Add real details: the parishes you cover, your opening hours if you have them, and a phone number or WhatsApp link people can tap. Photos of your own work help more than stock images, and they can be added as you collect them.
Leave out what can wait. A blog, a long about page and a gallery earn their place once you have customers and content. Spending a first budget on them delays the launch and does little for the business at the start.
If your business used a free business.site website from Google, it stopped working when Google switched those sites off in 2024. Your Google Business Profile still works, but it needs a new website to point to. Our short video on replacing a business.site website walks through the six steps.
The mistake worth avoiding is launching without being findable. Set up a Google Business Profile alongside the site, and read our guide to what a website costs in Jersey before you compare quotes. Hosting is from £20 a month, and the page explains what that covers.
