A proper website shouldn't start with a huge invoice
Jersey Web is a small UK web studio building websites for businesses across Jersey. We design and build the site, from £100, then keep it online from £20 a month.
We work with Jersey businesses remotely, by WhatsApp, phone and email. There is no office on the island to visit and no meeting to travel to: everything from the first chat to launch day happens online, at times that suit you.
The cost barrier, and what it does to small businesses
Ask a sole trader why they have no website and the answer is rarely that they do not want one. It is the quote. Two or three thousand pounds, payable before anything exists, for something they cannot fully picture. So the decision gets postponed, a Facebook page does the job badly, and work quietly goes to whoever turns up first on Google.
A smaller first build brings the cost down. We price each job on what it needs, so a first website for a new business does not have to cost what a full agency project would. Hosting is from £20 a month and keeps the site live, secure and looked after.
It works because a website is not a one-off delivery. It needs hosting, certificates, updates and someone to fix it when something breaks at an awkward moment. We would rather be paid for looking after sites properly than for a single build we never see again.
How our pricing works
Clear prices matter, especially the first time you buy a website. Here is exactly how ours works.
How we price a build
Builds start from £100 and the price depends on the job. A simple first website costs less than a large one with many pages or an online shop, and we tell you the price before you commit to it.
What we ask in return
Hosting is from £20 a month. It keeps the site online, secure, backed up and maintained. We also ask for a small credit link in your footer, which is how most of our work arrives.
Why we review applications
We build a limited number of sites at a time, properly. If a project needs more than we can do well, we say so rather than take it on and rush it.

A Jersey setting
Original photographs, with an island connection
Our Jersey photography collection gives customers useful local views for websites and social posts. We still work as a UK studio serving Jersey remotely; a landscape photograph adds context to a page, while your own premises and people tell the business story.

Plain answers
No jargon, no packages designed to confuse. If something costs extra we tell you before you commit to it.
You own your work
Your domain stays registered in your name and your content is yours. Nothing here is designed to trap you.
Built to be maintained
Hosting, security, updates and backups are handled. A site that quietly breaks six months after launch has failed.
Local by design
Every site is written for island customers: the areas you cover, the way people here search, the questions they ask first.
Josh, Founder: Web Designer, Developer & SEO
Jersey Web is run by Josh. He designs the sites, builds them, sets up the search engine optimisation and looks after the hosting, so you deal with the same person from the first conversation to the day your site goes live and after.
Josh also writes and checks our guides, videos and Jargon Buster. Our editorial guidelines explain how the facts in them are researched and kept up to date.
What clients say
We have just taken the reins of our website, love your door.co.uk. Fantastic communication the whole way through, to deliver what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend these guys who really know their stuff. Thanks again.
We had over fifty years of history and nowhere sensible to put it online. Jersey Web gave us one place where clubs, events and news actually make sense to a visitor. Members find what they need without ringing us first.
Clients are often nervous before they even get in touch, so the site needed to feel calm rather than clever. It does. People arrive at the first session already knowing how I work, which makes the start of counselling easier.
Teaching bridge online means the website has to do the explaining before anyone books. The course structure is clear now, the lessons are easy to reach, and I spend less time answering the same questions by email.
From our very first meeting, Jersey Web made it easy. I explained what I wanted: a site where every figure has a source and a date, and where nobody is ever pushed into anything. They understood the aim straight away and built around it, rather than trying to sell me something different. We got on from the start, and they have been easy to deal with ever since. When I want a change, I ask and it gets done, with no fuss. They are fair, straightforward and honest about cost, and I trust them with a site where accuracy matters more than anything. I would happily recommend them.
Working with Jersey Web was easy from start to finish. I needed a website that explained clearly what I do and reflected the care I bring to sensitive work, and they understood that straight away. Having everything on one page means a client can see my services, my specialisms and my background in one place, and it looks just as good on a phone. They host and look after the site for me, and whenever I need a change, it is done without any fuss. I would recommend them to anyone.
Jersey Web made getting our fencing business online straightforward. They took the time to understand what we do and who we do it for, and turned it into a clean, simple website that shows off our work and makes it easy for customers to ring us for a quote. Everything is on one page, it looks great on a phone, and they were quick and easy to deal with from start to finish. I would happily recommend them to any local trade business.
Jersey Web gave Little Timbers a website that feels just like our stall: friendly, local and easy to find your way around. Customers can see all our produce, check which market we are at that week and get in touch, and our holiday let has its own section with photos and a link to book. They understood straight away what we wanted, and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I would recommend them to any small local business.
Jersey Web gave Waifs & Strays a website that feels as warm as the work we do. People can see how adoption works, meet our cats and ask about one in a few taps, and every way to support us is set out simply, from a donation to our Amazon wishlist. They understood what a small, volunteer-run rescue needs, and they were patient and easy to work with throughout. I would recommend them to any charity or community group.
Judge us on the sites, not the sales pitch
Every site we have built is live and linked from our case studies, including Jersey Sports Council. If you want the reasoning behind how we build, start with how our pricing works, what a website costs in Jersey or how islanders find businesses on Google.
