  • Analytics

    Key event

A key event in Google Analytics is an event marked as especially important to the business. It adds a reporting designation to a measured action. Choose the meaningful event carefully and verify how it fires; marking an event as important does not prove that a customer completed a successful sale or enquiry.

    Also called: GA4 key event

  • Design & content

    Keyboard trap

A keyboard trap prevents a person from leaving a component using the keyboard as expected. It can block access to the rest of a website. A modal may intentionally contain focus while open, but it still needs an understandable keyboard way to complete or leave its task.

    Also called: focus trap

  • SEO

    Keywords

Keywords are words or phrases used to describe a topic and the searches people make about it.

    Also called: search terms, keyword
