    Qualitative research

    Qualitative research explores experiences, context and patterns in evidence such as interviews or observed tasks. It can help explain a problem without establishing its population-wide frequency. State who was studied and how the interpretation was formed, and keep individual examples distinct from numerical claims about all customers.

    Quantitative research

    Quantitative research uses numerical measurements to investigate relevant questions, such as task outcomes or differences between defined groups. The method, sample and measurement rules affect the conclusions. A number alone does not establish a cause, so review the study design and uncertainty before making a wider claim.

    Query parameter

    A query parameter supplies a value in the query-string part of a URL, often to express a filter or another supported option. Its meaning depends on the service. Follow the documented format and validation, and review whether a value belongs in a URL rather than assume every parameter is private.

    Query parameter append

    The URLSearchParams append method adds a named value as another query entry, including an additional entry for an existing name. It supports repeated choices where the application expects them. Review how every value affects the actual view, rather than assume adding an entry validates the choice or updates the displayed page.

    Also called: URLSearchParams.append()

    Query parameter delete

    The URLSearchParams delete method removes entries matching a name, or matching a name and value where that option is supported. It changes the parameter collection rather than define the application’s default view. Review the actual behaviour after removing a choice, including its address and supported direct opening.

    Also called: URLSearchParams.delete()

    Query parameter get all

    The URLSearchParams getAll method returns an array of all values for a name, which is empty when none are found. It helps code read repeated query entries. The application still needs to define and check their meanings, then render the intended information; retrieving values is separate from validating or applying a filter.

    Also called: URLSearchParams.getAll()

    Query parameter set

    The URLSearchParams set method assigns a named value, replacing other matching values or creating the entry when absent. It differs from append. Agree whether the task needs a single or repeated choice, then inspect the resulting address and customer view so replacement does not silently remove supported selections.

    Also called: URLSearchParams.set()

    Query parameter sort

    The URLSearchParams sort method orders parameter entries by their keys using UTF-16 code-unit ordering, preserving the relative order of equal keys. It sorts the parameter collection rather than business items such as products. Review the actual parameter contract before assuming a tidier query string changes or improves the customer’s result list.

    Also called: URLSearchParams.sort()

    Query selector

    The browser querySelector method finds the first element matching a specified CSS selector within its supported context, returning null when nothing matches. It helps a script locate a page item. For a Jersey business, review the intended control or content area, repeated matches and changed page structure before assuming that finding an element establishes the correct customer response.

    Also called: querySelector()

    Query selector all

    Document.querySelectorAll() returns a static NodeList of elements matching the supplied selector. Later page changes do not automatically update that result. Review which collection the feature needs and how it handles changed content, so a list found earlier is not assumed to represent every currently displayed item in the customer task.

    Also called: querySelectorAll()

    Query string

    A query string is the part of a URL beginning after a question mark, commonly carrying parameters for a search, filter or campaign. The application decides how it uses those values. Avoid putting sensitive customer information in URL parameters because addresses can appear in histories and logs.

    Also called: URL parameter

    QUIC

    QUIC is a secure transport protocol built over UDP that supports multiple streams and features for managing connections. HTTP/3 uses it. Its presence does not prove a website is fast in every circumstance; review the actual browser, hosting and network path alongside the page’s customer task.
